When January House Literary Journal launched in May of last year, I had barely an idea of where we might be headed. I’ve been overwhelmed with gratitude for the response from our readers and contributors, making January House a greater success than I could have imagined. In our first, abbreviated, year we’ve published three issues, nominated for Best of the Net and the Pushcart Prize, and today we welcomed our 10,000th visitor to the site.
I hope you’ve found a gathering place in January House and as we look ahead to the coming year we’ll be focusing on expanding on our role as meeting place and home for contemporary literature, poetry, and art. If you’ve been reading along quietly, this is an invitation to lean in a little closer. Follow us on social media, share the work that stayed with you, join us in conversation, amplify the voices that spoke to you.
Thank you for being here to celebrate a wonderful 2025 and to all the beautiful potential of 2026 to come. Happy New Year!
