I asked the fruit fly
strolling up my
thumb stroking
my little glass
of red wine.

by flying away.
Padma Thornlyre has published ten books of original poetry, including the four volumes of his "Anxiety Quartet" (Turkey Buzzard Press 2020-21) and one book of translations from the Ukrainian poet, Lyudmyla Diadchenko, "Magnetic Storms" (no reply press 2023). His current projects include two new books of poetry, "WagJaw" and "Khoreia" (a look at the life of Odysseus through the eyes of women), an experimental, dream-based novel, "Baubo's Beach: an autobiography of the unconscious"; and a more comprehensive collection of translations of Dr. Diadchenko, "The Obedient Street." He currently lives in Raton, New Mexico (USA).
